Man Refused Bail A Second Time Over Stolen Truck Chase

goulburn court A man who allegedly led police on a 35 kilometre chase from MITTAGONG to MARULAN has appeared in Goulburn Local Court and  for a second time has been refused bail.

 

JOSHUA LEIGH DUKE careered into the median strip near MARULAN after running over road spikes which had been deployed by police.

 

Duke allegedly stole the WHITE IZUZU tipper loaded with a bobcat earth mover from BOWRAL ROAD MITTAGONG around 4.15 on Monday morning.

 

Police chased the truck at speeds of between 30 and 70 kilometres per hour, before the tipper ran off the dual lane carriageway at Shepherds Gully near Marulan.
