Kylie leads the way for Mardi Gras tonight

Australian pop princess and international gay icon Kylie Minogue will return to her home country just for the 2012 Sydney Mardi Gras, where she will be worshipped on a float during the parade and participate in the weekend's festivities

The Mardi Gras Parade is the largest celebration of its kind in Australia and an annual event that always manages to stop the city of Sydney as 9,000 people make their way down Oxford and Flinders Streets in a colourful, outrageous demonstration of LGBTQI pride.

More than 300,000 spectators will line the streets of Darlinghurst tonight to watch the glittering procession of exotic costumes and political slogans. For those that don't want to battle the crowds, Mardi Gras also offers GLAMSTAND - the best place to watch the Parade in style and comfort, located in the leafy Centennial Parklands.
