Two people have been charged over the murder and kidnapping of Wollongong man Mathew Digby whose body was found in the burning remains of a car near Robertson in 2010.

33 year old Richard Walsh of Dapto and 31 yr old Lauren Batcheldor of Albion Park Rail were found guilty yesterday of kidnapping and murdering Digby after the jury retired to consider its verdict earlier this week.

Mr Digbys remains were found chained to the passenger seat of a burnt out car at Mount Murray in January 2010.

The death stems from Miss Batcheldor discovering Digby had stolen and hocked a gold chain from her home.

Mr Walsh and Miss Batcheldor will be held in custody until sentencing on November 2nd.
