Cash Strapped State Stakes Out Residential Streets

speed camera car Instead of staking out the accident prone Princes Highway the cash strapped state government has started operating a  revenue raising roadside speed camera car  on a residential street approaching Nowra CBD.

 

 

 

speed camera warning sign On several occasions in the last couple of weeks the car has been parked north bound in Kinghorn Street, near the Nowra Police Station, catching unsuspecting motorists as they gather speed on the down hill run.

Its not known how many motorists have been caught, but police say the area is notorious for speeding drivers.

 

speed camera 50KPH sign The area has a 50KPH limit, but the speed zone sign near the Albatross Road round about is partly obscured by a tree.
