| Greens Secure Top Spot On Shoalhaven Mayoral Ballot |

A field of 77 candidates will line up for the Shoalhaven Council elections on September 8 led by five candidates who are running for mayor. The Greens, Amanda Findley has drawn the coveted number one position on the mayoral ballot followed by Clr John Fergusson, Gilmore MP Joanna Gash, Clr Greg Watson and Clr Andrew Guile. Clr Guile's ‘Shoalhaven First’ team is only fielding candidates in wards one and two while the other teams have candidates in all wards. Mrs Gash says she is surprised there are only five mayoral candidates but the contest will still be tough, particularly as her team will not be giving preferences. |
