Greenwell Point Man Transported To Hospital After Inhaling A Toxic Solution
Friday, 03 August 2012 16:07

ambulance logo A possible leaking gas main at Anglers reach caravan park in Greenwell Point yesterday afternoon caused a stir with emergency services rushing to the scene to find a resident cleaning metal.

The strong smell mistaken as a gas leak sparked the scare about 5pm yesterday which turned out to be a chemical reaction from a resident using chemicals to clean metal.

James Morris from the rural fire service described the smell as being similar to strong kerosene.

A man in his 40's cleaning the metal was transported to Shoalhaven hospital as was another resident of the park as a precaution from being exposed to the toxic solution.
