A legendary Nowra restaurant is on track to re-open later this month, but no thanks to thieves who have broken into the business 10 times while it has been undergoing renovations over the last few months.

The Boatshed Restaurant is located on the southern bank of the Shoalhaven River, beside the Nowra bridges and has been purchased by David Campbell from the Hungry Duck at Berry.

The 10 break and enters have targeted equipment in the restaurant and contractors building tools.

Mr Campbell says the constant crime wave is really disappointing give the huge effort and expense he and his wife have put into the project.

The restaurant will be re-named Wharf Road when it re-opens in the next few weeks.
