Woolworths says it is still not in a position to nominate a start date on its multi million dollar complex at Jervis Bay, but a Shoalhaven Councillor says the company is having problems finding tenants.

Its planned to construct a Woolworths Supermarket, Big W Department store and specialty shops, in a staged development at the intersection of Jervis Bay and Wool Roads, near Vincentia.

Clearing of the site was undertaken several months ago and the company says it is in discussion with a contractor over final construction costs.

Former Shoalhaven Mayor Greg Watson says he has been told the company is having problems finding tenants to lease sections of the complex other than those set aside for Woolworths.

Bianca Agius  says the company is keen to start work as soon as possible
