Policeman Injured, Car Chased,Driver Flees Into Bomo Bush

bomaderry chase ambulance A police officer has been injured at Bomaderry  this morning after being hit by a car, with the driver being pursued through residential streets, before abandoning the vehicle and fleeing into bush.

The incident happened just before 4AM in Cambewarra Road.

The police officer suffered leg injuries, and was treated by paramedics.

Colleagues chased the white Commodore around the streets of Bomaderry, reaching speeds of up to 100 KPH in a 50 zone.

The driver abandoned the white Holden Commodore in the middle of Jasmine Drive, locked the vehicle,  left the lights on and fled into thick bushland near north of Bomaderry oval.

 

bomaderry chase suspects white car Police scoured the area but failed to find any trace of the driver although they have a lead on his identity.

A police dog was also brought in to assist in the search.

The man police want to question is described as wearing dark clothing and a baseball cap.
