Arsonists, thieves, vandals are continuing to target the Sanctuary Point and St George Basin areas leaving property loss and damage bills, expected to run into tens of thousands of dollars.

Over the last few days at least two cars have been stolen and set alight.

In another incident keys to a garage have been stolen one day, with the thieves returning the next, to steal a vehicle.

Francis Ryan Reserve has been targeted for the second time in the last week, leading to renewed calls for better lighting and in the installation of a covert security cameras.

One the first occasion paint was stolen from a shed at the reserve, and spread around a car park and near by buildings.

Local activist and council candidate Dennis Williams says in a separate incident vandals have crashed through a gate at the reserve and then driven around the oval damaging the turf
