Monday, 16 July 2012 01:09

fuel prices berry 15.7 A weekend study has found a huge variation in diesel prices  in Nowra Bomaderry compared with Berry, and Goulburn.

The study has found a 10 cent a litre difference in the price of diesel between Berry and North Nowra.

The price at Berry is comparable with both Goulburn and parts of Southern Sydney.

fuel prices north nowra 15.7 The study has also found petrol to be cheaper in Berry, by  one to two cents a litre.

Meantime the latest NRMA bowser buster survey has found it is cheaper to buy petrol at Yass and Albury, than Nowra, which is much closer a fuel distribution terminal.

The NRMA says checks at Nowra found petrol at 140, while at Yass  and Albury it was between two and six cents a litre cheaper.

fuel prices southern sydney 15.7 In Moss Vale prices for un-leaded were 135, which was 5 cents cheaper than Nowra.

Results of the survey come after NRMA South East Director Alan Evans called recently for the Federal Government to step in and regulate fuel prices.

Mr Evans says there is no logical reason why drivers in the Shoalhaven should be paying more than motorists who live further away from fuel terminals.
