South Coast cook Jo Bogle has qualified  as a top 6 finalist in the search for Australia's best pie competition

From Orient Point , Jo was one of more than 1000 entrants in the Super food ideas magazine competition, with her cherry and apple splice creation winning over the judges.

Jo developed a passion for cooking while working on the Great Barrier Reef and in her spare time has combined her love of food with photography, attracting a large following on her facebook page "recipes by us plus more"

The winner will be announced in the September issue of Super Food Ideas on the 15th August.

The prize is $10,000 cash

Jo says she still cant believe she's been selected as a finalist
