Public comment is being sought on proposals to re-zone an area of land  for an expansion of residential development near Sussex Inlet.

The proposal covers an area at Badgee, with plans for residential development, and portions which will be set aside for environmental conservation.

Shoalhaven Mayor Paul Green says the planning proposal aims to maintain the option for a golf course, but the actual type of development will be the subject of further applications to be lodged by the land owner.
