New Fears For Local Public Service Jobs
Saturday, 07 July 2012 03:08

The State Opposition  has intensified its attack on the government this morning over public sector job cuts on the south coast and southern highlands

State wide in the  Education Department alone  24-hundred jobs will go  over the next four-years.

A Treasury report has revealed over 600 full and part-time jobs will be cut annually - in a bid to find 40-million-dollars in savings.

There will also be job cuts in other areas like health.

Member for Keira RYAN PARK - says failing to maintain jobs will drag local public schools and hospitals backwards.
