I Am A Victim Of Vicious Hate Campaign – Jo Gash
Friday, 29 June 2012 01:40

Say No Federal member for Gilmore Jo Gash says she is deeply offended by what she describes as a hate campaign designed to scuttle her run for Shoalhaven Mayor at the council elections in September.

A brochure  " Say No Say No " written, authorised and printed by G. Nosworthy of South Nowra  is being "  letter boxed "  across the region  and takes aim at moves by the long serving Federal MP to hold down two jobs.

gash jo If elected Mrs Gash would be both Mayor and MP between September and the next Federal poll, when she plans to retire.

While the brochure claims Mrs Gash would be double dipping the public purse, she says if  she will donate the Mayoral allowance to charity.

Mrs Gash has told 2ST's Adam Straney she believes  the material is highly inaccurate and offensive.

Meantime Mrs Gash has come under fire for comments made during the asylum seeker debate, with the government failing in its bid to send boat people to Malaysia.

Mrs Gash has been quoted as saying she would not send her dog to Malaysia.
