A 21 year old man is lucky to be alive after he was catapulted out of a truck following a crash at Kangaroo Valley yesterday. ( wed )

The driver was hurled out of the windscreen of the truck near the intersection of Kangaroo Valley and Moss Vale Roads about 7.45 yesterday morning.

The street sweeper ended up in a boggy paddock , while the driver was treated by paramedics for minor injuries and was taken to Shoalhaven Hospital.

A salvage operation is being organised for today (thu) to get the street sweeper out of the bog using a crane.
