State Announces Overdue Fine Amnesty

gareth ward People on the coast and highlands with overdue fines have been offered an amnesty period by the State Government.

Those owing fines for traffic, parking, court orders or Police imposed penalties, will have the late fees waived until the 31st of July.

After that the enforcement costs on overdue fines will rise to $65.

The move is an attempt to claim back some of the 571 million dollars  worth of overdue fines that have not been paid.

Kiama MP Gareth Ward is urging people to pay their fines now to avoid an even bigger debt
