Nowra’s Iceman In Court Today – Emerges From Freezer

police logo A man who tried to hide from  Nowra police over the weekend  by taking refuge in a freezer remains in custody and is due in court today.

Nicknamed "  The Ice Man " , the 40 year old from Nowra allegedly  broke into a local pet store in the early hours of Saturday morning.

As police began searching for the  man, he jumped into a freezer.

Leaving no stone un-turned and no freezer door lid closed,  the man was found and taken to Nowra Police Station for questioning.

He was later charged with a number of offences, refused bail, and ordered to appear in Wollongong  Local Court this morning.
