On Valentines Day 2013 5 couples completed in PowerFM’s Battle of the Brides thanks to Singleton Diggers and the Hunter Valley Gardens to see who would win a $17000 wedding and the winners – Ashleigh and Ben from Muswellbrook!!

The couples met at Singleton Diggers and waited nervously with Lynchy, as Gurks changed into a beautiful gown! To start the events we had a celebrity wedding match up, then a three legged race so see how in ‘tune’ the couples were. The brides were then treated to a beautiful pedicure by their fiancées and the men did a really good job! We then played ‘Spit the Wedding Bucket’ which made Allan a little ummm… green, but they kept going- that's commitment! For a bit of a treat couples sat down to enjoy some wedding cake however they could not use their hands and their faithful partner had to feed them! We then had a beautiful wedding dress competition where the girls were treated to a wedding dress made entirely by their partners out of toilet paper! Designers watch out! Last but not least we had a wedding bouquet toss and the boys also got to see how accurate there throws would be!
