Pitbull is going to get the last laugh after a contest held on Facebook was hijacked by the two owners of satirical website SomethingAwful.com.

The campaign to send the rapper to the Walmart store who landed the most Facebook ‘likes’ by July 16 began as a simple marketing deal; but David Thorpe and Jon Hendren started their own campaign via their social networks.

Using the hashtag #ExilePitbull, the pair racked up 71,000 likes for a Walmart situated on small Alaskan island, Kodiak (home to about 6,000 people).

Throughout the hijacking, Pitbull (real name Armando Cristian Pérez) has played along happily; on July 12 he tweeted:
