HUNTER HOUSEHOLDS TO PARTICIPATE IN ENERGY TRIALS

Tuesday, 18 September 2012 06:48

light-switch Households across the UPPER HUNTER have the chance to save on their energy consumption and power bills under a new trial program.

EnergyAustralia has signed-up as retail partner for the Federal Government's SmartGrid, SmartCity Project which will see households trial a number of cost saving measures.

LOCAL households may elect to participate in air-conditioning cycling to reduce costs in peak times as well as incentives and SMS notifications to better manage their power bills.

Adrian Merrick from EnergyAustralia says the voluntary trials will assess which options provide the most benefit to consumers.
