So i consider myself to be a techno junky, feeding on every bit of new technology that gets released... Some would say i have an issue as i seem to change mobiles phone every 3-6 months.

Now I've always had a soft spot for Apple products and currently own a Mac laptop, an iPad and an iPhone until recently... I turned to do the dark side and thought it might be an idea to branch out and try a different alternative when it came to owning a smart phone so i went out and purchased a brand new HTC One XL.

This little guy has all the bells and whistles any man or women could ever need. Caught up in the excitement of the moment i quickly pulled out my credit card and entered my pin number, finally a new phone!

When i got home my jaw dropped and I froze, I had completely forgotten about how well all my Apple products synced notes and calendar events. If i added a note to my iPhone within seconds I'd be able to see it on both my iPad and Mac laptop!!!

This was a feature I used the most, every thing from my daily expenses to shopping lists were now some thing of the past. It was time to do a bit of research!

So where am I going with all of this and why am I writing a short novel about such a silly mistake I made?

It only took a few minutes of searching on the Internet before I stumbled across a program called Evernote.. Yes i know its been around for a little while and some may know about it but its simply brilliant.

Basically Evernote is a note taking application designed to run on iPhones, iPads, tablets, windows PC's, Mac computers and more. It allows users not only to share notes between their devices but also photos, music and documents.

To start using Evernote you need to jump online and visit their website - www.evernote.com, Evernote is a free service to start with and allows you to store a total of 60mb worth of documents and notes, now whilst this might not seem like a great deal of space its more then enough for the average Joe just wanting to do the basics.

For $45.00 per year Evernote also offers a premium account which gives you 1GB of data, pin coded security, the ability to share notes with others and a bunch more features.

Once you've signed up for your account you can go ahead and install the desktop Evernote application on your Mac, PC and mobile phone of your choice and start enjoying fully fledged synchronisation of all your notes and other documents.
