Eurobodalla Mayor, Fergus Thomson, says it is difficult to determine what impact sea level rises would have on the New South Wales Far South Coast.

The concern comes as the Federal Climate Commission released a report this week, predicting record heat waves, bushfires and rising sea levels across the state because of climate change.

But the Mayor says that Council has already set up a coastal management plan which involves researching possible effects of sea activity.

But he says natural disasters are likely to cause most of the trouble.
